“The fellowship has reminded me that STEM education is more about the students than it is about the teacher. I have been more encouraged and courageous about giving up my authority in the classroom, which has allowed my students to feel like I am not the only knowledge holder in the classroom.”

“Integrating a more Democratic approach into my curriculum and classroom culture has revolutionized student engagement. Their ownership is inspiring, the work they've produced is beyond anything I've seen before and their STEM literacy is exceptional. The fellowship has worked wonders in my classroom and this has been my favorite year of teaching."

"Many of my AP biology students started college and wrote to me that their experience in AP Bio of leading class sessions and researching content has helped them a lot in their biology classes in college."
