About the Fellowship
STEM-Ed Innovators Fellows will

Enhance your professional network through participation in online workshops in a supportive community of practice

Receive coaching from experienced STEM educators and practitioners of Democratic STEM pedagogy
-
Analyze your practice through lenses of the Democratic STEM Teaching Framework (student voice, shared authority, and critical STEM literacy) and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and resent your enriched teaching practice for constructive feedback

Time commitment

Attend seven 2-hour online workshops over a 4-month period (factoring in school breaks), culminating in a "Windows-into-Classroooms (WiC) showcase

Between workshops identify, define and put a solution in place for a unique Problem of Practice (PoP)

What are the eligibility criteria?
​

Be affiliated with a K-12 school
-
Have at least two years of STEM teaching experience (including the current school year)
-
Teach full-time in the current academic year, with at least 50% of classes in STEM subjects
-
Commit to completing the expectations of the program
